Nominees were evaluated by a panel based on their record of employment and sales growth, utilization of innovative business methods, response to adversity, community involvement and demonstration of entrepreneurial potential necessary for long-term business success and economic growth.
Nilssen and Ames will be honored as the 2007 Washington State Young Entrepreneurs of the Year in May at an awards event held at McCaw Hall at the Seattle Center. Recipients from each state will be evaluated based on the criteria stated above by national panelists to determine the National Small Business Administration awards recipients.
