Purchasing footwear that is too small or too large is not comfortable and is a complete waste of time as well as money. European to US conversion is often necessary especially with some of the nicer pieces of footgear on the market today. Knowing how to measure your feet is also important.

Knowing which is which will save you a lot of time in trying to convert sizes from one standard to the other. Which is right? This answer will depend on who you ask, of course.
In reality, they are both right. The United States and Canada seem to go by inches, but looks can be deceiving!
